In a number of the demanding multi-core workloads the Ryzen 5 8600G had no troubles outperforming the Core i5 14500 that retails for around $240 USD compared to the Ryzen 5 8600G at $229.
The Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs do well for single-threaded Python workloads.
Or single-threaded PHP workloads...
