Windows 10 Radeon Software vs. AMDGPU On Ubuntu Linux

First up is the least demanding test and classic: OpenArena.

With OpenArena we see the Linux driver performance exceed the Windows 10 driver with Radeon Software Crimson on both the R9 285 and R9 Fury. Between the open-source and hybrid PRO drivers, there wasn't much difference for this very basic open-source game.

Under Unigine Heaven, the performance between Windows and Linux was similar when using Radeon Software Crimson and the PRO driver on Ubuntu 16.04. The open-source driver stack with Mesa 11.2 was significantly slower than the closed-source driver components from AMD.

Unigine Valley was in a similar state with the Windows Radeon Software and AMDGPU PRO on Linux doing much better, but this time the open-source driver was at least more competitive.
