Switching over to SPECViewPerf 10.0 at the display's native resolution of 2560 x 1600, with 3dsmax here there was some optimizations in late 2009 but the biggest spike had not come until the second set of "optimizations" in the summer of 2010. Nevertheless, the gains made were short-lived like the SPECViewPerf 9 results. The Catalyst 10.12 driver is 24% faster than the inaugural FirePro V8700 driver, but that is down by 15% since July.
With CATIA SPECViewPerf 10.0 the results are not any different: two major performance boosts in 2010, but they were only temporary.
Same story again with Pro/Engineer in SPECViewPerf 10.
