The AMD A10-7850K performance is great on Ubuntu Linux when using AMD's officially recommended Catalyst driver. Using Catalyst also yields OpenCL support where as the open-source AMD driver has only limited OpenCL support at this time via the Clover Gallium3D state tracker.
