The Reaction Quake 3 game has seen many improvements with the R600 Radeon Gallium3D driver and now runs fine when two years ago it wouldn't on the open-source driver and with the Catalyst driver from three years ago it wouldn't even run.
The Radeon HD 4870 is now hitting a wall with Urban Terror while the Catalyst driver is still about 30% faster.
