When it comes to the processor performance, the Phenom II X3 710 was generally just ahead of the AMD Athlon 5350 while the Phenom 9500 was a ways away. The Phenom II X3 710 is much older than the Athlon 5350 but has a clock speed of 2.6GHz compared to 2.05GHz out of the Athlon 5350 and it supports dual channel memory. When factoring though that the two Phenom CPUs have a 95 Watt TDP compared to the new AM1 APUs having a 25 Watt TDP, the newer APUs obviously have a heavy advantage.
