AMD R600g Performance Patches Yield Mixed Results

Starting with Nexuiz at a resolution of only 800 x 600, the performance between the two is close when factoring in the spread on the pre-optimization state.
When pushing the Nexuiz resolution to a more-expected 1920 x 1080 resolution, there is a jump in the frame-rate. Marek's two performance patches provided a nearly 50% boost in the OpenGL frame-rate for the DarkPlaces-based game.
The OpenArena 0.8.8 release didn't see any real change in performance.
World of Padman, a game based on the ioquake3 engine just like the Reaction Quake 3 game that Marek was seeking to improve its performance, hugely benefited from the patches. The Radeon HD 4650 graphics card on the Radeon Gallium3D driver saw its frame-rate tripled with the two patches.
