The AMD Catalyst driver with the latest GCN GPUs tend to perform fairly well for their OpenCL compute abilities on Linux. With the LuxMark benchmarks, the Radeon R9 285 was blowing past the GeForce GTX 760 graphics card and even the GTX 770.
