The ROCm OpenCL driver on Vega does extremely well with the Blender 2.79 modeling software.
A look at Xsbench and Lulesh OpenCL performance, which was brought to this GPGPU API by AMD's GPUOpen and wasn't able to run on the NVIDIA GPUs tested.
The Radeon OpenCL stack still needs improvements for FAHBench Folding@Home benchmark with the Vega GPUs being slower than a GTX 1060.
