AMDGPU vs. Radeon GCN 1.0/1.1 Performance On Linux 4.9 DRM-Next

For those playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the performance for the HD 7950 and R7 260X were similar between AMDGPU and Radeon. For the Pitcairn-based R9 270X and R7 270, their performance had dropped noticeably with the AMDGPU kernel driver in experimental form.
Dota 2 was in a similar case with the HD 7950 / R7 260X performing close to the same between the Direct Rendering Manager drivers while the R9 270X and R7 370 had seen a performance regression.
Besides the Pitcairn GPUs regressing on AMDGPU, when running Metro Last Light Redux the AMDGPU performance was also slower for the Radeon R7 260X graphics card.
