AmpereOne Performance In The Cloud With Oracle Cloud A2
With Memcached the performance of the new A2 AmpereOne instances was really great. Even compared to a 16 OCPU (16 vCPU) A1 instance to match the same core count as the A2 instance, the performance more than doubled going to AmpereOne. Though given that it's been four years since Ampere Altra was introduced and the switch from DDR4 to DDR5 and numerous other advancements, the gains aren't too surprising. Similarly, there have been wild gains over the years with AWS Graviton generations.
There were also nice gains seen with PostgreSQL performance on AmpereOne via the A2 instances in the Oracle Cloud.
