GCC 12.0 was also delivering leading performance when building the Kvazaar H.265 video encoder.
The performance was very close between the different binaries when building Intel's SVT encoders but there did appear to be a regression with GCC 12.
The GNU Compiler Collection did continue to deliver better performance with Coremark.
While AOCC 3.2 does improve the performance from prior AMD Optimizing C/C++ Compiler versions, there still is competition from the upstream open-source compilers themselves.
