Arch's major disk benefits were not limited to the Threaded I/O Tester, but PostMark too was in favor of this operating system.
There was a small but noticeable difference between Arch Linux and Ubuntu with Dbench. The lead was in favor of Arch Linux.
Ubuntu 9.04 with GCC 4.3 was faster with the OpenMP-powered GraphicsMagick test profile than Arch Linux 2009.08 with GCC 4.4.
