AMD EPYC Turin vs. Intel Xeon 6 Granite Rapids vs. Graviton4 Benchmarks With AWS M8 Instances
The M8a AMD instance using just physical cores while AWS choosing to rely on both the physical core plus HT thread was making M8a much more competitive in the OpenMP threaded workloads.
Even with some of Intel's own software like the Embree ray-tracing kernels was much better performance going with EPYC Turin than Xeon 6 Granite Rapids.
