Ubuntu 21.04 on this server was tending to run slower than Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS.
In some cases the poor FreeBSD performance can be attributed to its choice of preferring the LLVM Clang compiler to the others focusing on GCC.
Again, these benchmarks are primarily here for reference purposes and seeing where the BSDs are performing well or not against the Linux distributions in an out-of-the-box state.
