Cache Aware Scheduling Shows Nice Wins For AMD Zen 5 On PostgreSQL, Valkey, Network Performance
The Stargate digital audio workstation software was observing slightly better performance with Cache Aware Scheduling.
TigerBeetle was also seeing slightly better performance when running multiple clients.
One of the largest performance boosts observed out of employing Cache Aware Scheduling was with the Valkey fork of Redis when testing GET operations.
The PostgreSQL database server also showed some nice wins on this AMD Zen 5 system out of Cache Aware Scheduling. When dealing with enough concurrent clients there were some rather nice wins with Cache Aware Scheduling that is expected to be merged for Linux 7.2.
