CachyOS' default PHP package was much more performant than what is shipped by Ubuntu or openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Firefox benchmarks across all three Linux distributions were rather a mixed bag. CachyOS did pick up several wins here but was less of a convincing case compared to the heavier workloads where CachyOS tended to deliver decisive victories.

Across the range of Linux CPU and iGPU benchmarks carried out, CachyOS was around 14% faster than Ubuntu 26.04 and openSUSE Tumbleweed from testing on the same MSI Panther Lake laptop with the Core Ultra X7 358H. CachyOS continues delivering a leading out-of-the-box Linux performance experience even for platforms without AVX-512 and the beefier desktops where it's normally tested.
