The CachyOS-supplied RawTherapee RAW photography software and librsvg SVG library saw just ever so slight gains out of the optimized packages.

From the Blender software out of the CachyOS repositories there wasn't any observed performance difference.

The Python performance wasn't really different out of the benchmarks tested.

The most significant performance improvement observed out of the x86-64-v3 or higher packages was with the PHP binary and the PHPBench stressor. Then again we've seen some dramatic gains out of Clear Linux's tuned PHP binary too so it shouldn't come too much as a surprise.

There wasn't any major differences found with Mozilla Firefox web browser performance out of the CachyOS repositories.

Those wanting to try out this Arch Linux based distribution with your own workloads and hardware can give CachyOS a try at CachyOS.org. While the impact can vary depending upon the workload, it's great seeing more Linux distributions finally embracing x86-64 micro-architecture feature levels to raise their baseline requirements and/or offering various package repository alternatives for those having newer Intel/AMD processors.
