Consuming the most energy of the hardware tested was the GeForce GTX 780 Ti.
To no real surprise, the GeForce GTX 970 and GTX 980 were delivering the best performance-per-Watt. The Maxwell-based GTX 970/980 clearly deliver greater performance/power efficiency than the earlier Kepler GPUs and was also better than all of the AMD GPUs tested -- including the Tonga and Hawaii GPUs, given the crippled Catalyst performance under Linux.
