All of the Linux distributions were on OpenJDK Java 21 while Clear Linux was consistently delivering the best Java server performance on this flagship AMD Zen 5 server configuration.
Like shown in prior articles, for workloads like video encoding Clear Linux continued to demonstrate the best out-of-the-box performance on AMD processors too. Even with AlmaLinux 10 and Ubuntu 25.04 in the performance governor mode, Intel's in-house Linux distribution still showcased the importance of x86_64 software optimizations.
