For those just relying on single-threaded apps and not doing much work concurrently, the Core Ultra 7 256V was running well on Ubuntu 24.10 in such scenarios.

For video encoding the performance was understandably quite poor given the only eight cores/threads but even with regards to performance-per-Watt at best it was just comparable to the AMD Zen 5 Strix Point laptops.

At least the Intel Lunar Lake performance-per-Watt is a step in the right direction compared to prior generation Intel Core CPUs.
