The dav1d performance was at times about four times faster with the Core i5 10600K than the Core i5 2500K for video encoding/decoding tasks.

Intel's SVT-AV1 encoder is rather useless on pre-AVX2 CPUs.

Similarly, for SVT-HEVC the performance is a wreck without AVX2 introduced on Haswell.
