For demanding HPC benchmarks like NPB, the upgrade to DDR5-7000 memory was providing real advantages over the more common DDR5-6000 memory speed for Intel Raptor Lake.

The higher capacity DDR5 modules can also be useful in their own right for those engaging in more memory-intensive HPC workloads from your desktop class system... The higher capacity and DDR5-7000 speeds at $215 was quite nice for further pushing the Intel Core i9 13900K.

The DDR5-7000 speed was even helping speed-up Zstd compression performance but made no difference for decompression speeds.
