For LLM/GenAI workloads the DDR5-8800 memory was proving beneficial and helping the Intel Xeon 6980P deliver higher performance albeit with increased power consumption and the current pricing premium over DDR5-6400 server memory modules.
The MRDIMM-8800 modules also helped deliver greater performance in fast caching / memory database applications like Memcached and Pogocache.
