Benchmarking Debian GNU/Hurd 2015 vs. GNU/Linux

For some workloads, the performance was quite similar between Debian GNU/Hurd 2015 and Debian GNU/Linux 8.1, which isn't too much of a surprise considering the same GCC 4.9.2 compiler was used on both operating systems.
In some workloads, Debian GNU/Linux ended up running much faster than Hurd.
It's too bad that Hurd doesn't support modern hardware for providing an interesting comparison on real hardware.
