Benchmarks & Trying Out DragonFlyBSD 4.8
With the very basic SQLite embedded database test, Clear Linux was faster than DragonFlyBSD but it does look like DragonFlyBSD 4.8 may be a bit faster in this test than 4.6.1, but there was some variation in the DragonFly results.
DragonFlyBSD 4.8 is still using the HAMMER file-system by default with not yet making the move to the HAMMER2 file-system that's a work-in-progress.
DragonFlyBSD did have a win over Clear Linux with the FFTW benchmark.
For the most part, the DragonFlyBSD 4.8 performance was very close to DragonFlyBSD 4.6.1 on this particular Intel i7-6800K test system.
