For many of the scientific tests, it was a rotation of Ubuntu, Clear Linux, and openSUSE slightly edging out Fedora 30 or a lot more in the case of HMMer where Clear Linux's default compiler tuning appears to pay off.

Clear Linux and openSUSE ere at the front of the Golang benchmarks while this was one of the scenarios where Fedora 30 was the slowest.

Clear Linux also was offering much faster Java performance than the rest.
