OpenAPV video encoding was coming out slightly faster on Fedora 44 Beta than Fedora 43. Here it's possible the gains are due to the GCC 16 compiler used by default with Fedora 44 compared to GCC 15 on Fedora 43.
In other open-source video encoders like SVT-AV1, no performance difference was observed there.
In other open-source video encoders, only very slight advantages to running Fedora 44 on this Framework Desktop.
