The CPU-focused benchmarks aren't terribly exciting when comparing the Intel Core i7 4770K under the latest releases of Ubuntu and Fedora. Ubuntu 13.10 and Fedora 19 are both shipping right now with the Linux 3.9 kernel and the GCC 4.8.1 compiler, which generally leads to similar results with few exceptions. The OpenGL performance is a much more compelling story for Fedora due to its newer Mesa code for Haswell
