Firefox 149 vs. Chrome 147 Web Browser Performance On Linux
With the brand new JetStream 3.0 web browser benchmark on Linux... Google Chrome 147 came in at 1.47x the performance of Mozilla Firefox 149. A very strong showing for Google's web browser and to not much surprise Google engineers have been heavily involved in JetStream 3 as part of its open governance model. Chrome debuts very well on JetStream 3 while it will be interesting to see what optimizations Mozilla engineers pursue in the months ahead.
For comparison, with the older JetStream 2.0 benchmark from 2019, Chrome was at 1.44x the performance of Firefox.
Or in the original JetStream benchmark, Chrome was at 1.37x the performance of Firefox on Linux.
