The different cooling configurations of the Framework Desktop made no difference on the build times of the Linux kernel. Running at full fan speeds persistently helped drop the CPU core temperature by aroudn 4 degrees and also helped lower the NVMe SSD and memory temperatures by several degrees.
Across the different code compilation tests carried out there was no observable performance difference from the extra cooling options in terms of build speed.
