The x264 performance was flat to little surprise considering most of the sensitive code paths are hand written Assembly, but the x265 performance did hand a slight advantage to Clang.
Clang 9 was the fastest with the Himeno pressure solver.
When it came to code compilation, GCC 9.2.1 was performing the fastest builds.
GCC also still carries a significant performance advantage for the C-Ray ray-tracing program.
