In many of the tests, there isn't much change with GCC 7's performance of the generated binaries.

The SciMark2 micro-benchmark did see higher performance out of GCC 7.

SciMark2's composite gain is from GCC 7 running much faster for the Dense LU Matrix Factorization test.
