BSD-Powered helloSystem 0.8 Performance Against Linux On AMD Zen 4

Fedora Workstation 37 ships Python 3.11 by default which is why it led in a number of the Python benchmarks.

HelloSystem 0.8 ships Python 3.9 by default and tended to be much slower than the Python builds shipped on Fedora, Arch/EndeavourOS, and Ubuntu.

The PHP performance on helloSystem 0.8 was also significantly slower than that on the various Linux distributions tested on this AMD Zen 4 system.

Even when measuring various Git operations on a static snapshot of the GTK Git repository was slower with helloSystem compared to the Linux distributions tested.

From this selection of benchmarks carried out across helloSystem 0.8 and the three Linux distributions, Fedora Workstation 37 was the fastest overall while Arch Linux powered EndeavourOS and Ubuntu 22.10 were delivering similar performance and then the FreeBSD 13.1 based helloSystem was the slowest at least for this set of benchmarks run and on the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (Zen 4) desktop hardware.

If you are running FreeBSD 13.1 or helloSystem, be sure to comment in the forums how you have found the performance for your workloads/tasks or what have been your key motivators in doing so.
