With the NAS Parallel Benchmarks we see the Xeon Gold 5220R and 6226R performing well, generally coming in between the EPYC 7302 that costs around $1050 per processor and the EPYC 7352 that costs $1508 per processor.
These $1300~1555 Cascade Lake Refresh CPUs are delivering much better performance than the Xeon Gold 5218 that launched for $1280 per processor and even the Xeon Silver 4216 that continues to sell for over $1100. Later on in this article are all the performance-per-dollar metrics.
