With OpenVINO 2026 the Arc Pro B70 was enjoying a sizable performance lead over the Arc B580 and Alchemist A770 graphics cards. It will especially be interesting to look at the Arc Pro B70 scaling up to four graphics cards and other AI workloads like vLLM.

It's exciting seeing the Arc Pro B70 performance on a fully open-source software stack for not only the drivers but also Intel's continuing OpenVINO AI toolkit efforts.

OpenVINO 2026.0 ran without issue on the single Arc Pro B70 benchmarks. Yesterday Intel released OpenVINO 2026.1 that now has official Arc Pro B70 support too, which I'll be exploring as time allows to see if any added performance gains there.

With the OpenVINO GenAI benchmarks was very strong performance gains over the Arc B580, not to mention the ability to run larger models thanks to the 32GB of GDDR6 video memory. This will also be more exciting in the multi-GPU benchmarks to come up soon on Phoronix.
