Intel Arc Pro B70 Open-Source Linux Performance Against NVIDIA RTX & AMD Radeon AI PRO
I also ran a number of graphics benchmarks with the Arc Pro B70 for those not on the AI/compute craze but just considering this BMG-G31 32GB product for typical Linux graphics workloads. With GravityMark using its Vulkan renderer, the Arc Pro B70 was slightly ahead of the RTX 4000 Ada Generation graphics card and in better shape for performance-per-dollar with only being outdone by the Radeon AI PRO R9700.
Where the Intel ANV Vulkan Linux driver still has more to improve upon is with the Vulkan ray-tracing performance. The Intel Arc graphics on ANV are comparatively well behind AMD RADV and the NVIDIA Linux driver for Vulkan ray-tracing performance.
For those still relying on predominantly OpenGL graphics workloads, the Intel Arc Pro B70 was in good shape with the Mesa Iris Gallium3D driver. With the demanding Unigine benchmarks the Arc Pro B70 was typically delivering the best value of the graphics cards tested.
