Intel Rendering Toolkit & OpenVINO AI GPU Performance On Intel Panther Lake's Xe3 B390
For the Open Volume Kernel Library there was little benefit over Lunar Lake for this particular benchmark.
Intel's OSPRay Studio software with GPU-based rendering was painfully slow on Meteor Lake while a night-and-day difference with Lunar Lake's Xe2 graphics Now with Xe3 graphics on Panther Lake are very nice gains compared to Lunar Lake both for performance and power efficiency.
Very nice performance and power efficiency improvements for OSPRay Studio use from Lunar Lake to Panther Lake.
Across these iGPU benchmarks with OpenVINO and Intel Rendering Toolkit packages, going from Lunar Lake to Panther Lake was 1.2x the performance. That 1.2x performance was delivered with just 1.13x the power use of the Core Ultra 7 258V. Driven in large part by the very slow OSPRay Studio performance on Meteor Lake, going from the Core Ultra 7 155H to the Core Ultra X7 355H was 2.9x the performance with these GPU compute benchmarks.
