Intel Arc Graphics B570 & B580 Gaming Performance On Linux For Mid 2025
Right from the start when kicking off the tests with Counter-Strike 2, we see significant Battlemage improvements for both the B570 and B580. Counter-Strike 2 at 1440p with the Arc B580 was 12% faster on Linux than at launch day. The Arc A770 on the same system and same time period was just 4% faster, showing the significant difference from Alchemist to Battlemage with the driver optimizations this year.
Similarly at 4K were very significant performance improvements found on both Battlemage graphics cards compared to the relatively mature and stable performance seen out of the prior generation Arc Graphics A770. The GPU power consumption of the graphics cards were unchanged during when comparing then and now.
With Grand Theft Auto 5 there was also significant improvements found on the Arc B-Series graphics cards while the Alchemist graphics card performance was only minimally improved. 13% higher performance on the Battlemage graphics compared to launch day at the end of 2024.
Across all of the Grand Theft Auto runs conducted under Steam Play on Linux there were very nice gains with the Arc B-Series graphics cards.
