Right off the bat with the web browser benchmarks, the one line kernel patch was yielding a measurable improvement in the modern Speedometer 3.0 browser benchmark.

The performance-per-Watt with Speedometer 3.0 was unchanged though with the CPU power consumption ticking up slightly for this workload.

For gaming/graphics workloads, only in very CPU-bound scenarios was the patched kernel yielding any better results... But at least no performance regressions.

There were some wins with paraView for workstation visualizations.
