Across various web browser tests carried out on Mozilla Firefox 124.0 from JavaScript to WebAssembly, Linux 6.9 was delivering slightly better performance than Linux 6.8.
In other creator workloads like the Darktable and RawTherapee RAW photography software, Linux 6.9 was allowing for slightly better performance than Linux 6.8. Presumably this is due to the Intel P-State driver tuning for Meteor Lake but other Linux 6.9 optimizations at large may be helping some of these workloads.
