The Core i5 6500 sells for $199 while the Core i5 6600K goes for around $299~320.
For some of these workloads, the Pentium G4400 performance is great considering the $60~70 price tag.
If you're trying to do a very low cost kernel build, the Pentium G4400 appears capable for light workloads.
