Intel Xe vs. i915 Driver Performance On Linux 6.19 For Arc Alchemist GPUs

Similar to the prior round of Xe vs. i915 testing on Alchemist GPUs, the performance for graphics workloads in large part is quite similar on recent versions of the Linux kernel. In Batman running under Steam Play for example were just very slight frame-rate improvements for example when opting for the Xe driver.

With the Linux native build of 3DMark Solar Bay Extreme that is a Vulkan ray-tracing title, there was a measurable improvement when switching over to the Xe driver on the Arc Graphics A580.

Meanwhile with GPUScore's Breaking Limit ray-tracing benchmark was only a very faint difference when using the Xe driver.

Unigine SUper All

With Unigine Superposition as a heavy OpenGL benchmark, there wasn't any real difference in moving to the Xe kernel driver.
