The video encoder workloads tend to benefit a lot from using the "performance" governor as we consistently see across processors. It's a shame in 2024 that more Linux distributions aren't default to performance at least for server CPUs. In any event Clear Linux was still managing to deliver slightly better performance than Ubuntu 24.04 even when tested with the performance governor.

Clear Linux was the consistent leader with the uvg266 H.266 encode workloads.
