For the Rodinia scientific benchmark, the Core i3 4130 "Haswell" processor was running at roughly the same speed as the Core i5 2400S "Sandy Bridge" CPU.
The HMMer and MAFFT molecular biology programs were running on the i3 4130 at around the speed of the Core i5 2400S CPU as well. The i5-2400S is a quad-core CPU that had a base frequency of 2.50GHz and a Turbo Frequency of 3.30GHz.
