Clang's Competition For GCC On Intel Haswell

The first test up was the LAMMPS molecular dynamics simulator and here we see GCC 4.9 running slightly faster than GCC 4.8.2 stable on this Core i5 hardware, but taking the cake was LLVM Clang 3.4 with a noticeably better run-time.
The HMMer performance was close between the three tested open-source compilers.
When it came to running SciMark, the composite result was much faster for LLVM Clang than either of the GCC releases -- just like with the AMD Kaveri results.
