OpenArena was the most basic OpenGL Linux game run for this article and the official Intel DRI driver was about 11% faster than the unofficial Intel Gallium3D driver.
When running the Reaction Quake 3 game, the Intel i965 "classic" driver was over twice as fast as ILO Gallium3D.
Unvanquished was also significantly faster with the official driver developed at the Intel Open-Source Technology Center.
