The Counter-Strike: Source performance for Ivy Bridge HD Graphics 4000 actually dropped in speed in 2013, but that was due to better image quality and more correct rendering. At 1920 x 1080, the Ivy Bridge graphics on Linux hover right around 60 FPS.
The Doom 3 performance improved in 2013 for Ivy Bridge on the open-source Intel graphics driver.
The OpenArena performance was also riding higher in 2013 for the Intel Mesa Linux driver that's still catching up to the Intel Windows driver.
