As the visual intensity increased for the Xonotic first person shooter, the gap between the Ubuntu 14.04 performance and Windows 8.1 narrowed. With low image quality settings, Xonotic was 21% faster on Windows than Linux but when hitting ultimate settings it was just about 5% faster.
