The Lightsmark frame-rate shot up by 23% as a side effect of enabling this feature designed mostly to reduce power consumption.

RC6 was not a clear-cut winner for the peculiar VDrift racing game.

OpenArena benefited from RC6 being on until hitting 1280 x 1024, at which point for this resolution and anything higher there was not any performance benefit on the graphics side since it was being hit by another bottleneck. At 800 x 600, RC6 boosted the frame-rate by 13%.

World of Padman, another ioquake3-based game like OpenArena, also could benefit from RC6 at the lower resolutions but when pushing up to the HD resolution there was not any gain or loss.
